Politics and Geography

The Land is a vast continent, with multiple nations and city-states constantly in profitable conflict — economic, martial, and political. There are traces of a great, lost civilization, if you know where to look. The only things remaining are bits of artifacts, like the Slivers — which may or may not do what they were once intended to do, and scraps of knowledge — like using the Slivers to power the airships that carry precious cargo and rich passengers (and the pirate and privateer crews that prey upon both).

There are major roads across the entire continent, critical for moving trade, money, people, and soldiers.

The Empire

Political Info:

It’s so big, that it kind of manipulates some things as it sees fit. The others allow this because it never goes so far as to outweigh the benefits of the Guild patronage the Empire helps to broker and because, frankly, it’s so bloated it’s fairly easy to get around as needed.
